Wreck of the Peter Iredale

On October 25th, 1906 the four-masted steel sailing vessel, Peter Iredale, ran aground and was abandoned on Clatsop Split near Fort Stevens in Warrenton, Oregon USA. It sits just south of the mouth of the mighty Columbia River in the great Pacific Northwest. Its remains, over 110 years old, stands as a lasting reminder of seafaring peril.
