Description
Colorful Paria Canyon in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. This is a view from the Old Paria movie site. Western movies were filmed at this location as early as 1943. “Sargent’s 3”, filmed here in 1962, was the last movie featuring all 5 of the infamous Las Vegas “Rat Pack” that consisted of legendary entertainment icons Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop. The most well-known film using this location is “The Outlaw Josey Wales” with Clint Eastwood. The movie set was burned down by careless teenagers in August, 2006.
